As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing sales within a given area and team.

You will develop and implement strategies within your area to deliver on sales for your portfolio to Healthcare Professionals (HCP).

You must be able to effectively manage large teams of people while also being detail-oriented enough to understand the intricacies of the market and the implication it may have on your business.


The Pharmaceutical industry is changing rapidly, and one of the most significant changes is the need for a more personalized sales experience.

Sales managers will need to be able to provide a more personal touch in order to connect with potential customers.

This means that you will need to be able to understand what each team member/customer needs, and how to meet those needs.

In addition, you will need to be able to communicate effectively build trust with your team/customers.


To represent GSK in identifying the right patients for the right products through engagement with the customers based on our values

Your responsibilities include, and not limited to below, with key roles:


  • Clearly understand the therapeutic ecosystem through medical publications, attending events, and/or through market/customer feedback
  • Reporting to line manager on the performance of the sales team with Plan of Action (POA).
  • Accountable for selfdevelopment and for team members through development planning.
  • Coaching team members for performance, primarily on competency and capabiity building for each medical represantive.
  • Reviewing sales data to identify opportunities for improvement in sales force performance
  • Developing relationships with HCPs through strong scientific engagement
  • Establishing goals for individual sales representatives to increase product awareness and promote brand loyalty among existing customers
  • Making regular calls to existing HCPs to ensure quality service from the team are met and align with GSK Values
  • Profile each team member in talent box and provide the right support for medical representative's development.
  • Provide robust and accurate sales forecasting.
  • Ensure sales are driven and delivered through KPI's, and aligned to GSK's Way of Working and Culture.
  • Ensure compliance is adhered to GSK's Way of Working.
  • Able to work cross functional with other departments and stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in people management, preferably with sales leadership experience, in the Pharmaceutical industry
  • A levels, Tertiary Education
  • BSc, BA, Diploma etc
  • Fluent English, with strong communication skills. Communication skills are essential for sales managers, as you are responsible for coaching, business negotiations, and consultant to internal stakeholders.
  • Product knowledge: Strong/Expert product knowledge of your portfolio. Able to translate the benefits to what it means to patients, and adverse events/concomitants, etc to ensure the medicine is prescribed to the right patients.
  • Leadership skills: Strong/expert coach to drive performance through your team. Your various leadership skills can help customize and develop the right strategies to meet sales expectations, improve customer service and increase productivity.
  • Decisionmaking skills: You will make many decisions throughout the day, ie medical rep coaching plan, alignment with internal stakeholders, addressing customer's escalations, etc. Your ability to make effective decisions to focus and prioritize would be crucial for this role.
