Reports To:


  • Senior Executive, Payment Ops & Treasury Support

Role Purpose:


  • Responsible in performing payment processing activities by ensuring and validating all transactions due for payments are captured in the payment proposals accurately and payments are processed on time to avoid service disruption and late payment penalty charges.

Key Accountability:


  • Initiate payment proposals to based on the payment schedule and ensure payment proposals are submitted for payment execution before the banking cutoff time.
  • Ensure the transactions in payment proposals have correct details (i.e. vendor's bank details, payment currency, house bank, payment method and etc.) in order to avoid error in payments.
  • Communicate with Accounts Payable team, relevant business units, stations and subsidiaries for inputs, updates and error corrections on the transactions in the payment proposals.
  • Monitor and ensure that payments executed did not exceed funds provided and always seek Fund Management team's approval before proceed with final payment proposals.
  • Execute manual payments through banks' online portal and manual cheques and ensure to keep proper records and tracking of these manual transactions.
  • Responsible to do stop payment process for completely for any unsuccessful payment transactions.
  • Responsible for preparations of any system wide payments reports for managements as well as for Bank Negara reporting.
  • Liaise with Bank Reconciliation team to ensure all outgoing payment transactions especially manual payments and direct debit transactions are recorded and updated accordingly in the system.
  • Identify areas of improvement to increase the level of efficiency in the daytoday operations.
  • Ensure compliance to the accounting standards, internal controls and SLAs.
  • Ensure compliance to Service standards / SLAs to ensure appropriate service levels are maintained.
  • Ensure compliance to accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Act as a proactive team member to ensure cordial work environment.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities to support / replace other team member roles if required.
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skill.

Qualifications & Working Experience:


  • Degree in any related discipline preferable in Finance, Acturial Science, Business etc. with 02 years working experience in Accounting and/or Finance or in the related field.

Skills & Knowledge:


  • Possess indepth understanding of general accounting principles and practices.
  • Wellverse with SAP and posses good knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation tools (Word / Excel / Power point).
  • Understand his / her role in the team and how it impacts the overall outcome of the process.
  • Good command of English & Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
