Customer Service: As a cashier, you'll interact with customers daily. Providing excellent customer service is crucial for ensuring a positive shopping experience. This involves greeting customers, answering questions, resolving issues, and handling transactions efficiently and accurately.

Cash Handling: You'll be responsible for processing cash, credit, debit, and other forms of payment. This includes operating cash registers, handling cash transactions, and reconciling cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts.

Product Knowledge: While you may not need in-depth knowledge about every product in the store, having a general understanding of the items sold can be helpful. Customers may ask questions about products, and being able to provide basic information or direct them to the appropriate department can enhance the customer experience.

Attention to Detail: Accuracy is essential when handling transactions and processing payments. You'll need to ensure that prices are entered correctly, discounts are applied accurately, and change is given back correctly.
