Cement Industries of Malaysia Berhad (CIMA) is a Malaysian building materials company involved in the business of cement and ready-mixed concrete products.

CIMA is a subsidiary of the UEM Group and owns more than 70 packaging factories and a fleet of 700 cement trucks, operating throughout Malaysia.

CIMA's corporate office is located in Kuala Lumpur and has two plants located in Bukit Ketri, Perlis and Bahau, Negeri Sembilan.

These two plants have a cement production capacity of 7.2 million tons per year.

CIMA has supplied cement-related materials to major mega projects in Malaysia, including the Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Bridge, the North-South Expressway, Nusajaya, Iskandar Malaysia, the Klang Valley MRT and the Electric Dual Bridge Project (EDTP).


Job Purpose


Responsible for areas relating to accounts receivable functions billing, update collections, maintaining accounts receivable ledgers and financial reporting, prepare sales report and debtors reports and analysis reports, and accuracy and timeliness of receivable reporting for collection purposes.


Responsibilities:


  • Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions. Posts revenues by verifying and entering transactions from lock box and local deposits. Updates receivables by totalling unpaid invoices.
  • Maintains records by microfilming invoices, debits, and credits.
  • Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, trade promotions, customer service departments, and from customers;
  • Resolves valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries.
  • Resolves invalid or unauthorized deductions by following pending deductions procedures.
  • Resolves collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line; coordinating contact with the collections department.
  • Summarizes receivables by maintaining invoice accounts; coordinating monthly transfer to accounts receivable account; verifying totals; preparing report.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting/ Finance
  • 2 years relevant experience with accounting, data entry skills, general math skills, financial software.
  • Analyzing Information, attention to detail, thoroughness, reporting research results, verbal communication

RM3, RM4,500.00 per month
