Purpose of Position:
Rationalization of existing entities. Working together with Regional Finance/Tax/Legal/Treasury/Corporate teams, in order to ensure Legal Entities Rationalization(LER) targets are achieved. This role will also be require to deal with external Consultants and Local regulatory Authorities.
Job Scope:
- Location governance a good understanding of local Statutory compliances, Taxation and legal principals across Asia.
- Ability to adapt and interpret internal compliance requirements
- To ensure corporate governance and compliances are up to date for assigned entities.
- To compile all information relating to any potential risk / compliance matters
- Analyse cost impact / cost savings for LER initiatives which may include but not limited to Loan forgives, Capital restructuring, mergers, deregistration's etc.
- Balance sheet clean up and efficiency optimizing.
- Partner closely, proactive coordination & communication with those supporting the LER program
- Monitor & update the LER tracker to keep key stakeholders informed and updated.
- Engage & work closely with external consultants, tax agents and local authorities as required.
- Support company secretary matters as required.
- Familiar with complex legal structure
- Drafting and reviewing internal memos/recommendations, planning/organizing approvals as per company DOA.
- Complete adhoc reports / assignments as requested.
Competencies:
- A qualified Finance / Business / Legal with a proven track record of success with more than 10 years of significant Legal Entity Rationalization experience.
- Good understanding of relevant legislation and internal and external compliance requirements.
- Ability to think outside the box and identify issues and solutions to those issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to convey information and ideas to individuals and groups, with the ability to gain the confidence of senior management
- A high degree of organisational skills
- Excellent management skills including the ability to plan, set goals; and manage time, priorities, accountabilities, schedules and cost.
- Negotiates successful outcomes that achieve the required objectives and have the support and acceptance of all parties.
- Proactive, goal oriented with excellent attention to detail.

Required:
- Experience with a large ERP.
- Exposure to a contracting/engineering/construction or multi disciplinary services environment well regarded.
- Experience working in multiple jurisdictions across Asia.
Guide:
- Ability to work under broad or limited direction in setting work priorities
- Excellent problem solving and analysis skills with a high degree of analytical rigor
- Superior general ledger reconciliation skills.
Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
- A recognised bachelors degree (or masters degree) or equivalent qualification with an emphasis in quantitative discipline such as finance, business and legal.
- Postgraduate qualifications in the relevant discipline such as CA or CPA; management or supervisory qualifications or equivalent.
