Description
This role supports the Chief Reserving Actuary in delivering a wide range of responsibilities.

The role is expected to perform more complex actuarial analyses, in relation to reserving, reporting and quantitative risk management:


Responsibilities:


  • Supervise annual and quarterly valuations of general insurance liabilities in accordance to generally accepted actuarial principles and local/group requirements
  • Prepare the Financial Condition Report ("FCR")
  • Collaborate with Finance team for the yearly planning cycle and the Full Year Forecast exercise throughout the year
  • Perform stress test and Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) in accordance with the relevant internal and Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) guidelines
  • Support IFRS17 implementation
  • Provide recommendation on surplus distribution to participants and shareholders
  • Identify key trends in portfolio's experience and provide recommendations to the business
  • Perform independent review on product pricing
  • Lead, train and develop personnel

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science or Mathematics
  • Good exam progress from an international recognized actuarial association
  • At least 6 years of working experience in a related role
  • Able to manage multiple stakeholders across the business and contacts at the regional or head office.
  • A serious and professional attitude towards compliance of regulatory submissions with an eye for attention to detail in order to support accuracy.
  • Excellent teamworking, communication and interpersonal skills are also required
  • Able to manage and meet deadlines and work under pressure

Salary:
RM0.01 per month
