Assistant Duty Manager - Johor Bahru, Malaysia - GBW HOTEL
Description
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Front Office Manager in provision of guest services function, handle all problems and complaints related to hotel guests, and represent the Management in handling all areas of operations within the hotel in accordance with objectives and quality standard of the hotel.
- Ensure Efficient Provision Of Front Desk Service.
- Check in and escort VIP guests courteously and efficiently.
- Coordinate check in of special categories of guest i.e. repeated guest list accordingly to established policy.
- To followup on special checkout procedures for VIP guest, such as arrange hotel airport limousine service, reconfirm airline ticket, coordinate with Concierge for arrangement of Airport Representative to ensure VIP receives airport departure services and bid farewell to VIP departure.
- Handle express check out when required.
- Assist in maintaining the free flow of guest in the lobby by helping out guest with their check in when situation requires.
- Answer telephone promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain Goodwill With Hotel's Guests.
- Follow up with sending amenities to guests who are sick or in hospital.
- Represent the Management in the handling of guest complaints that concern all areas of Operations promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure each and every guest request is being complied with.
- Ensure Day-ToDay Operational Efficiency
- Log down complaints and irregularities and take necessary corrective actions.
Qualification:
a) Skills Required
- SPM/STPM/Diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management or any relevant working experience
- Welldeveloped communication and customer relations skills
- Effective counselling, grievance handling and interviewing skills
- Welldeveloped computer skills particularly in the use of MS Office, E-Mail and etc
- Good trainer, able to facilitate at all levels
- Fluent English written and spoken
- Minimum two to four years work experience as Assistant Duty Mgr
- Front Office in a hotel
- Essential knowledge of Travel and Hotel industry
Salary:
From RM2,000.00 per month
