Intel's recently announced IDM 2.0 strategy includes a plan to significantly expand the manufacturing network, establishing new capacity and capability to meet the accelerating global demand for semiconductors.

The Disaggregated Manufacturing Organization (DMO) will play an important role in this strategy, leveraging Intel's Advanced Packaging technology portfolio to deliver leadership products.

To enable this ramp, DMO is building an Advanced Packaging manufacturing facility in Malaysia, increasing its investment in this region which has been a critical part of Intel's supply chain for over five decades.

Join the Intel Malaysia Advanced Packaging team where you will be instrumental in developing and ramping some of Intel's newest Advanced Packaging technologies and help us realize Intel's vision to create and extend computing technology to connect and enrich the lives of every person on Earth.

As a Process Integration and Integration (Metrology) technician you will report to the corresponding functional area Manager.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs physical and technical tests to identify and interpret defects resulting in yield loss and identifies and investigates component failures to improve yield.
  • Documents and communicates findings related to failure to peers, engineers, and managers.
  • Makes recommendations to modify equipment and/or processes to improve yield results.
  • Performs setup, qualification, and maintenance of semiconductor processing equipment.
  • Monitors, audits, and provides guidance to other module technicians in using the metrology toolset.
  • Processes test runs and may prepare records, charts, and graphs of results to identify deviations from quality standards.
  • Ensures continuous evaluation and improvement of standards and specifications and acts as a role model for quality behaviour through Stop the Job (STJ) efforts.
  • Performs and interprets lot dispositions for inline defect, parametric and endofline data, and executes lot set up plans for experiments and other functions.
  • Conducts engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect data or assist in research work related to integration, process, and yield.
  • Must be a selfstarter, highly organized, and have an ability to work independently across organizations.
  • Demonstrated skills to synthesize complex problems into clear messages and proposals through presentations, as well as communicating throughout the organization and factory.
  • Interpersonal and relationship building skills with peers, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Places high priority on the safety of themselves and those around them.
  • Prepared to make informed technical decisions and recommendations.
  • Troubleshoots, determines rootcause, and addresses equipment issues; prepares lessons learned documentation for all failures requiring multistep troubleshooting.

Qualifications:


  • Ability to read, write and speak in English.
years relevant experience in high-volume manufacturing.

  • Experience in equipment maintenance, tool qualification, and monitoring
  • Experience in handling Vision Inspection equipment is preferred.
  • Equipped with Lean Six Sigma knowledge and basic statistical knowledge.
  • Track record of successful mentorship to junior technicians, accomplishments in tool sustainability activities or projects.
