The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing and strategizing the University of Nottingham Malaysia's (UNM)
Social Media Channels (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, LinkedIn, and TikTok). They will also identify and establish new channels as needed to support student recruitment, research, and reputation.

Additionally, the role-holder will provide support for other affiliates with multiple digital media channels, including paid content marketing.


Working closely with the digital marketing team and various internal and external stakeholders, the Digital Marketing Manager will
focus on driving student recruitment locally and globally.

They will utilize Social Listening Tools to develop data-driven marketing campaigns and achieve performance goals based on key performance indicators (KPIs).


In addition to their strategic responsibilities, the Digital Marketing Manager will provide training and share best practices with internal and external stakeholders.

They should have the ability to generate content ideas, conceptualize content, manage content calendars, and provide comprehensive Social Media reports.

Basic copywriting skills are also required for this role.


Job Requirement:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Agile qualification.

5 years' experience in social media management, copywriting, and content development with leadership and managerial skills.

  • Experience using social media platforms for marketing and communications targeted at a youth audience and working adults.
  • Proficiency in
    creating effective marketing content, editing, optimizing various content types, and analyzing data to improve marketing campaigns and website effectiveness.
  • Ability to
    plan, conceptualize, and lead the execution of Content Calendars.
  • Experience in crafting comprehensive Social Media campaigns that cover all Content Pillars.

  • Digital Marketing Delivery Strategize Social Presence
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Social strategy to enhance brand visibility and engage the target audience across owned Social channels.
  • Identify and establish new channels to support the University's strategy for student recruitment, research, and reputation.
  • Proofread and edit content from internal and external channels.
  • Lead major social media and digital campaign elements for the University.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Team and Publications Team to ensure creativity, inclusivity, audience insights, and objectives are aligned in paid and organic campaigns.
  • Oversee social media campaigns and work with external agencies to maximize the organization's social media presence.
  • Collaborate with freelancers, graphic designers, and copywriters to execute content.
  • Monitor public sentiments and identify content opportunities.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to stay informed about competitor presence and tactics in digital marketing.
Content Collaboration

  • Collaborate with faculty to gather compelling and relevant content that adds credibility and value for the audience.
  • Engage with influencers and content creators to increase UNM's visibility in the digital space.
  • Work with credible Alumni to create inspiring content that enhances UNM's reputation across various digital platforms.
  • Build relationships with brands that are relevant to the target audience to increase brand recall for UNM.
  • Use analytics tools to monitor and optimize digital campaigns, website traffic, and social media engagement.
Community Management

  • Collaborate with the agency to maintain a neutral and positive brand sentiment.
  • Continuously monitor all owned Social Media Channels to address and rectify any negative sentiments.
  • Ensure that potential leads are directed to the appropriate department within the university.
Brand Consistency and Reputation Management

  • Maintain brand identity consistently across digital channels.
  • Effectively manage online conversations and customer feedback.
  • Adhere to editorial guidelines to ensure content aligns with brand voice, style, and tone.
