Responsibilities:


  • Assist the Pastry Chef in creating and preparing a variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
  • Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to ensure the safety and quality of all pastry products.
  • Execute pastry production efficiently and effectively to meet daily demand and minimize waste.
  • Maintain inventory levels of pastry ingredients and supplies, and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to the Pastry Chef.
  • Participate in menu planning and development, contributing innovative ideas and concepts for new pastry offerings.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate pastry production with the overall culinary operations.
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, including HACCP standards, in accordance with company policies and local health codes.
  • Keep work stations clean, organized, and sanitized at all times, maintaining a safe and productive working environment.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior pastry team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices in pastry arts, continually seeking opportunities for professional development and growth.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a Pastry Cook, Demi Chef de Partie, or similar role in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert preparation.
  • Creativity and artistic flair, with the ability to produce visually appealing and delicious pastry creations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in pastry presentation and decoration.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced culinary environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks as needed.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by business operations.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification from an accredited culinary school is preferred.
  • Food Handler's Certificate or other relevant food safety certifications are a plus.

Salary:
RM2, RM2,500.00 per month
