Description

1. Report directly to the General Manager for all Public Relations and Marketing related issues. 2.

Maintains a high profile within the media (print and otherwise) circle as well as trade and professional associations dealing with her/ his scope of responsibilities.

Interacts with individuals outside the Hotel within her scope of responsibility, including, but not limited to journalists, writers, celebrities, clients, local hotel associations, competitors and other members of the local community as directed through local marketing conditions.

4. Fully oversees and responsible for the operation and implementation of Public Relation strategies. 5.

Interacts with community leaders, government & opinion leaders, existing & potential clients as well as in-house guests to establish and maintain excellent relationships.

B. Duties & Responsibilities 1. Reinforces and maintains good relations with existing and prospective media journalists/ writers, editors, etc. in order to solicit new business for the Hotel by continually creating awareness in the local and regional markets. 2.

Prepares press releases and ensures their timely delivery to all publications that are part of our press list, including radio and TV channels.

3. Assists the Director of Sales and F&B Manager in developing programs for better awareness campaign and F&B promotions. 4. Promotes activities and ensures media coverage for all events deemed of high public relations value & significance. 5. Covers in-house activities and functions and prepares appropriate hotel information for media personnel and releases. 6. Handles customer and media complaints, requests and inquiries. Prompt responses to all comments and messages is important. 7.

Aware of the strengths and weaknesses of our competitors in order to maximize success in selling against them through Public Relations and Marketing strategies.

Makes the Director of Sales aware of any newsworthy issues that have significant "Marketing" value so that they may be used in the Public Relations market place.

9. Always does the best to uphold the good name and reputation of the Best Western I-City Shah Alam. 10. Establishes and maintains effective employee relations. 11. Full responsibility on social media and e-commerce platform. C. Administration 1.

Aware of all standard operating procedures governing the Best Western Sales & Marketing Department and performs his/her duties in accordance with those procedures.

Meets the Director of Sales and other key Department Heads on regular basis to review present and future Marketing opportunities.

3. To organize and conduct monthly Marcom meeting. 4. To drive Guest Experience Committee. 5. To receive other special assignments on marketing efforts from the General Manager.
