Summary:

Must be competent in both Supply chain management and Engineering area. Delivering quality data is the main focus in this role. Ability to manage heavy workload and deliver within tight schedule.


Detailed Description:


Provides task leadership to teams responsible for receiving, logging, and converting Customer's product data into formats used by our systems (Bills of Materials, preferred supplier information).

Initiates Engineering Change Orders. Supports Data Associate positions as a mentor. Responsible for implementing process improvements and ensuring the quality of all data. Communicates with teams from all areas of engineering and supply chain as appropriate. Works with internal and external customers to resolve data integrity issues. Ensures the proper storage and ease of retrieval of the data. Disseminates notification of data readiness and/or distributes data as appropriate. Acts as the focal point for all product data related technical issues.

Interacts with internal and external customers to resolve problems and increase the quality and yield of the product data release process.

The focal point within Global Supply Chain Services to site for coordinating the setup of both technical and commercial data from data receipt to info record setup into ERP.


Major duties:
Receive, process and log all customers data; will have responsibilities for one major account plus 2-3 smaller accounts.

Examples of customer data include Bill of Material, who to buy from i.e., name of supplier, instructions on how to assemble and E/C's.

Interface with Clients and external customer on all technical/commercial data setup issues (except pricing issues).

Managing the project from the day customer initiates the Engineering change until the data is ready to issue Purchase Order.


Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:


  • Technical skill in reading the mechanical drawings and technical specs.
  • Project management skill is required to drive the closure for New Award and Engineering change data implementation till the data is ready for buyer to issue Purchase order
  • Ability to read, write and speak Korean would be an added advantage

Physical Demands:

Fully working in front of a computer.


Typical Experience:


  • Experience in managing Bill of material and technical drawings
  • Project management experience is a must.

Typical Education:

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering / other engineering fields with experience in Supply Chain Management.
