    Logistics Specialist Trainee

    About the Role:

    We are seeking a Logistics trainee to participate in our 12-month Work Based Learning Program (WBLP). By the end of the program, you will be assessed on your learnings to see if you have what it takes to join our team as a full-time Amazonian.

    As a Logistics Specialist, you will review Data Center inventory, in-bound shipments, and ongoing demand to ensure proper stock levels are maintained in all locations to support build and repair activities. Your work will ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations by being part of operating the world's largest cloud computing infrastructure.

    Key Job Responsibilities

    1. Inventory Control: Understand all aspects of transportation, shipping and receiving, and inventory control.
    2. Safety and Quality: Adhere to strict safety standards and maintain very high quality.
    3. Mechanical Equipment Operation: Be willing and able to work on powered equipment (i.e., server lifter).
    4. Complete manual tasks such as assembling, addressing, and arranging for the shipment of materials, handling incoming shipments, unpacking boxes, and verifying contents.
    5. Loading and Unloading: Load and unload large equipment utilizing pallet jacks.
    6. Stock Accountability: Maintain accountability of in-stock components and process inbound shipments.
    7. Request Fulfillment: Assist with ongoing requests to ensure that proper stock levels are maintained and distributed to all locations.
    8. Optimization Planning: Create plans to optimize the flow and delivery of parts through their lifecycle.
    9. Datacenter Operations: Work closely with Datacenter Operations Technicians to fulfill parts and equipment deliveries quickly and accurately.
    10. Vendor Communication: Regularly communicate with vendors to resolve issues and help them understand our business requirements.
    11. 24/7 Environment: Support an environment that operates 24/7.
    12. Parts Receipt and Inventory: Receive parts, maintain inventory, and check out parts as needed to Data Center Technicians and Engineers.
    13. Shipping and Transport: Load and unload shipments and transport parts, racks, and equipment between different locations.
    14. Security Clearance: Handle sensitive/classified client materials.
    15. Moving Mechanical Parts: Work with and/or around moving mechanical parts.
    16. Office Environment: Occasionally work in an office environment.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent education.
    • Age: 18 years or older.
    • Computer Skills: Experienced with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
    • Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required.
    • Work Authorization: Work authorization in Malaysia.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Hardware Familiarity: Familiarity with computer hardware components and operating systems.
    • STEM Coursework: Has taken STEM or vocational course curriculum.
