The position lies within our Equities Stock Lending Operations specialising in Settlements under the Market & Securities Services Operation umbrella.

The job holder is responsible to support Clearing & Settlement activities in performing affirming, chasing, amending and escalating until settlement of the trade.

We are a global team covering multiple balance sheets for Stock Lending product under the Markets business.

The Opportunity:

Continuously provide high quality settlements processing in a timely manner to achieve maximum client satisfaction and matching market requirements. Responsible for relationship building and resolving all inquiries in a professional manner (where applicable).
The role will be working relevant shift hours i.e. HK/UK/Paris with a possibility for staggered work hours. There is no direct report for this role.

What you'll do:

Ensure trade settlement will be executed by timeliness and provide support in a subset of processing functions including documentation and MI reporting.
Assist in managing Operational Risk and Control within the process and the business through query handling and escalation.
Ensure the escalation of all problems/risk issues to the line management, relevant stakeholders and the appropriate levels of management as per escalation matrix, in a timely manner.
Ensure effective management of risk and controls in line with the Risk Management Control Framework.
Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
