SOFTWARE ENGINEERING SECTION
ACADEMIC AND TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT,

UNIKL MIIT (1018,JLN SULTAN ISMAIL, 50250 KUALA LUMPUR)


KEY ROLES

  • Delivering highquality lectures and tutorials to undergraduate and postgraduate students on software engineering topics related to web and mobile development, including programming languages (e.g. Java, Swift, Javascript, HTML, CSS) native and crossplatform frameworks (e.g Flutter), design patterns, software testing and mobile user interface design.
  • Developing and updating course materials including lecture slides, assessments and reading lists to ensure that they reflect the latest trends and practices in the mobile development industry.
  • Providing guidance and feedback to students on their coursework, projects and research activities, helping them to develop their technical skills and problemsolving abilities.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to design and deliver innovative teaching approaches such as outcomebased learning and peerlearning that enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Contributing to the development of new courses and programs in software engineering and mobile development, conducting market research and industry consultations to identify emerging trends and needs.
  • Conducting collaborative research in web and mobile software engineering, publishing research papers and presenting findings at academic conferences and seminars.
  • Providing academic leadership and support to students and colleague, participating in departmental committees and engaging with industry partners to promote collaborations and partnerships.
  • Staying uptodate with developments in web and mobile software engineering.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Master or equivalent degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or other related disciplines with demonstrable experience in computing.
  • At least 1 year teaching experience in the related field in an academic setting or 3+ years of working experiences in software industry/IT department.
  • Good English written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to teach introductory and intermediate Computer Science and Software Engineering courses such as Introduction to Programming in C++/Java/Python, Data Structures and Algorithms, Operating Systems and Web/Mobile Programming.
  • Area of specialisation: Mobile/Web Software Engineering.
