Job Location:
Klang, Selangor
To assist the network and local customer in related to export shipment with all aspects of an efficient and effective Ocean Export Department as required by the management team ensuring but not limited to the timely movement of freight, compliant execution of all operational functions and satisfaction of clients through exceptional customer service.
Operations
- Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow, meeting client's requirements
- Daily Ocean Export coordination & correspond with clients, service providers and internal team
- Prepare required documents for international transportation
- Working with approved Service Provider for Customs declaration and all those requirements related to Customs or government agency for all Ocean export shipments.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system
- Monitor shipment status/reports to ensure total customer satisfaction
- Interact with our customers in a courteous manner, arranging their international shipments, meeting customer service standards
- Monitor sailing schedules to ensure provide immediate information to customer
- Coordinate and negotiate rates with our contracted/approved service providers in procuring space and services
- Ensure accurate and timely clients, intercompany and vendors invoicing
- Ensure all client invoices are submitted/dispatched to client ontime
- Validating vendor invoices and accruals timely
- Operate in accordance to all internal policies and procedures such as
- Understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency. Utilize tools as required and recommended by the Supervisor/Manager
- Ensure all customers standard operating procedures are followed as per the SOP set up
- Work with the team on meeting KPI standards, as per the company's procedures
Daily review of operational reports to ensure timely update of event codes
Audit files and work with the team on meeting
operating process standards
Build and maintaining strong relationships with Customers and all Service
Providers (Carriers, trucking companies, and others).
Evaluate vendors at defined intervals per company policy,
focusing on areas of possible improvements with improvement plans where needed.
Assist the manager and supervisor in timely responding to requests for
rates with market competitive pricing matching the scope of service required by the customer
Participate to the transition of new business/ updates to existing business
Assist where needed with the provision of rates to overseas offices
Finance
- All Billings must meet the required KPI
- Ensure company credit procedures are followed and utilized effectively
- Accurate and timely billing of vendors and resolving accounting issues
- Managing COD accounts for payment
- Managing profitability of each job
General
- Managing client escalation
- Managing warehouse inventory report inbound/outbound daily basis (where applicable)
- Arrange with trucking company for pickup/delivery within warehouse (where applicable)
- Support Airfreight operations task when required
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Job Types:

Salary:
RM3, RM4,200.00 per month
