Job Role:
- Planning, monitoring & coordinate with customer, engineering, consultants, certification bodies, suppliers, subcontractors for engineering design, documents/drawings submission and approval, testing and commissioning tasks.
- Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to completion with attention budgetary limitations.
- Track projects progress through all phases and provide status report to the Management.
- Preparation of weekly/monthly progress reports (focusing on project progress, job status and costs), method statement, work programme and progress claim for submission to client.
- Liaise with local authorities for building inspections and to obtain approvals for development projects.
- Supervise technical support on building works during and after the defect liability period according to project guidelines based on feedback from all sources including the project post occupancy review process.
- To lead and be responsible for overall management of the project, including planning, execution, monitoring and ensuring timely completion of project within client's requirements
- Create a detailed work plan and schedule which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
- Review the project schedule with Management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required.
- To ensure the progress of the works is carried out smoothly in accordance to work programs and bring to Management's attention of any delays, problems or related matters.
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
- Support the procurement process, materials control, and manage the site manpower.
- Monitor and ensure each project site achieves a standard of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) performance.
- Communicate project issues to relevant parties and resolve them in a time manner.
- Ensure projects are delivered within scope, time, quality and cost.
- Attend site meeting with consultant, client meeting and to coordinate site meeting with sub-contractor and internal staff meeting or discussion to review the update records.
- Meet with construction managers and coordinate the delivery of materials with vendors.
- Review land surveys, assess project estimates and budgets, inspect existing structures, create design plans, and review potential safety issues.
- Inspecting projects for compliance with industry codes, specifications, and safety standards.
- Manage the approved of work programme, review of drawings and daily monitoring of site progress and able to solve issues which may cause delay to project.
- Monitors on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations and generate reports.
- Responsible on the project execution to ensure smooth progress and achieve target date of completion.
- Work closely with the project team, including engineers, and subcontractors, to ensure a clear understanding of technical requirements.
- Any other task assigned by superior or management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline from an accredited recognized university.
- Minimum 6 years working experience in Civil or Infrastructure Project.
- Preferably experience in Sewerage Treatment Plant project.
- Have a broad general technical and construction background and able to work with consultant with alternative proposal that can give benefit to the projects.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Selfmotivated and able to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Willing to travel. to provide regular onsite support
- Valid registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM)
- Good English & Bahasa Malaysia communication skills.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
