- Serve as the principal on-site representative for safety, working closely with vessel crews, contractors, and internal departments to coordinate logistics plans and marine HSE improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and report on the progress of logistics operations, identifying potential safety hazards and deviations from procedures.
- Ensure strict compliance with relevant safety regulations, company policies, and environmental protection standards.
- Maintain accurate records of logistics activities, including safety checklists, incident reports, manifests, and equipment inventories.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections to proactively identify hazards and verify adherence to operational and safety regulations.
- Participate in the development and implementation of enhanced logistics procedures and safety best practices.
- Troubleshoot logistical challenges while prioritizing safety in the implementation of solutions.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on logistics activities and safety performance, highlighting observations and improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Maritime Studies, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in offshore marine logistics, supply chain management, or a similar role within the oil and gas or maritime industry.
- Comprehensive understanding of offshore vessel operations, cargo handling, and marine transportation, along with awareness of associated safety risks and mitigation strategies.
- Demonstrable knowledge of relevant HSE regulations and adherence to best practices in offshore environments.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills to clearly communicate safety protocols and expectations.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Robust problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a commitment to prioritizing safety.
- Proficiency in relevant software and IT systems for logistics management and reporting.
- Valid offshore certifications (e.g., BOSIET/FOET) and other relevant safety certifications.
- Willingness to travel to and work at offshore locations and project sites.
- Strong safety mindset and commitment to adhering to site-specific regulations.
- Able to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with a focus on safety.
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Adaptable and able to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
