    Description

    Net Zero Strategy Execution

    Support Maybank's commitment to net zero by tracking performance metrics, analyzing financed emissions data, and staying informed on regulatory and country commitments.

    This role requires accurate reporting, data-driven insights for decision making, and collaboration with business units to align on the bank's decarbonisation strategy.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Monitor and update quarterly physical emissions intensity for 6 sector pathways.
    • Develop reports to senior management on target progress against key performance indicators (KRIs).
    • Support project teams on project administration and climate targets/decarbonization plans with internal stakeholders.

    Strategy & Planning:

    • Evaluate emission projections for net zero pathway sectors to assess their trajectory towards 2030.
    • Support businesses with pre-deal emission intensity computations.
    • Assist portfolio managers in accessing strategies towards the 2030 interim target.

    Insights/Analytics:

    • Collect and process emissions data for financed assets.
    • Develop visual dashboards to highlight trends and identify risks/gaps in existing net zero models.

    Learning:

    • Conduct research on global climate policies and sustainable finance frameworks.
    • Research reference scenarios used to develop pathways and updates to assess their impact on the interim target.

    Requirements:

    • 3-5 years of experience in project management, performance reporting, monitoring, and data analysis.
    • Background in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Business Administration, or Actuary.
    • Independent and analytical thinker with strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
    • Strong written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia communication skills.

    Able to perform work independently and as a team player, with good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with people at all levels.
