Description

You will play a crucial role in managing the full set accounts and maintaining the financial records and transactions of the organization with accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and timely reporting.

This role requires strong understanding of accounting principles and attention to detail.

Job Descriptions:

Develop, implement and monitor operating and accounting procedures to ensure that the companies' policies affecting financial matters are observed and assets safeguarded.
Timely preparation of financial statements in adherence of prudent accounting practices. Design and recommend internal controls for reduction of costs and prudent spending.
Preparation of monthly and annual budgets and forecasts, in accordance to business plan.
Monitor, manage and administer trust funds usage compared to set financial forecasts. Conduct variance analysis on the forecast set against the actual results.
Prepare tax fillings, financial schedules, depreciation, accruals, monthly closings, and preparation of monthend and general financial reports.
Manage the Accounts Payable function with respect to reviewing invoices matching of purchase orders, delivery orders and generating payments to vendors and balancing daily and endofmonth transactions.
Maintain relationship with bank; perform bank reconciliations, investment of idle funds, and accounts receivable function.

Requirements:

Preferably, an accounting degree, or professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, MIA or equivalent accredited qualification).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.
A minimum of 25 years of experience in full set accounts or the related field.
Experience in managerial role with stability to lead and motivate staff as well as building and sustaining strong team relationships.
Proficient in SQL accounting software, Ms Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
Good understanding of the corporate landscape.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
Exposure in finance industry is an added advantage.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial records.
Familiarity with taxation and statutory reporting.
Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people to cooperate in optimizing efficiency
Willing to travel.
