Job Description:


Role Summary:


The position holder will join the team here in Malaysia and
act as a point of contact specifically for Data & Marketing purchases but will also assist with other categories of spend, such as IT, professional services, HR, facilities and travel.


Another key part of this role will be to promote and "sell" the benefit of the Procurement function to the wider business, hosting webinars and training sessions to internal groups.


The position holder will join the team here in Malaysia and act as a point of contact specifically for EITS purchase such as Hardware, software & cloud computing but will also assist with other categories of spend, such as marketing, professional services, HR, facilities and travel.


Key duties include; Creation and management of RFX, developing supplier / stakeholder relationships, negotiating contracts and market leading commercials, maintenance of quality / governance standards, reducing supply chain risk, enhancing systems to streamline the buying process and leading procurement projects involving various departments / countries to drive value to the Experian business.


Confident and experienced negotiator used to handling suppliers up to senior levels proven track record of having engaged with and influenced internal stakeholder including to senior level.

Evidence of having made great cost saving and challenged the status quo.

Key Responsibilities:


Procurement:


  • Take a lead on managing complex negotiations
  • Manage RFXs, auctions and contracts including renewal utilising Ariba, Experian's esourcing tool.
  • Define and document project pipeline and plan for FY period
  • Negotiate & challenge suppliers and realise market leading commercials
  • Ensure all expenditure is covered by robust contracts
  • Strengthen business relationships with Internal stakeholders and key suppliers;
  • Develop alternate supplier and risk mitigation strategies;
  • Develop and lead regional category strategy in partnership with Global lead;
  • Drive cost saving programs at both country and regional level;

Business support:


  • Monitor supplier performance against agreed KPI's and SLA's;
  • Understand business requirements, build supply chain and lead to meet or exceed expectations.
  • Provide market insight and ability to lead and drive right direction together with business and stakeholders
  • Provide data analysis support and recommendations to business leads
  • Standardise procurement practices across business lines, countries and region
  • Flexible and agile to response to changing to business needs.

Compliance:


  • Ensure Group and APAC procurement policies are adhered to.
  • Drive compliance agenda with internal stakeholders and reduce risk exposure
  • Ensure Oracle P2P controls are effectively used.
  • Work with internal / external auditors and senior management to close the gaps and drive improvements based on audit findings

Procurement business analysis:


  • Work with internal Legal teams to understand the impacts of legislation or other changes in the environment;
  • Develop and manage contract renewal and project pipelines;

Cross-functional communication:


  • Produce data and analytic reporting to support and or present to key stakeholder groups
  • Work with internal cross functional teams to understand the requirements and develop procurement plans to support
  • Build a stakeholder engagement plan to support procurement strategy
  • Support and contribute to best practice standardization across the country, region

APAC Procurement Role for EITS Purchase:

  • Set and create the regional category strategy for EITS across the APAC region, in association with the Global category lead.
  • Lead the category offering SME advice to internal stakeholders across the region;
  • Analyse current market trends and supplier base to leverage best value opportunities across the region
  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify and procure new EIT
