Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is currently recruiting for a Lead Instrumentation Designer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

The Lead Instrumentation Designer are responsible for:

  • Ensuring this department guideline is appropriately implemented on projects under their supervision
  • Overseeing quality activities on project
  • Performing quality activities where needed
  • Working closely with the Lead Instrumentation Engineer and HOD to coordinate the performance and
supervision of QA/QC efforts

  • Interface with multidiscipline engineering department
  • Managing/overseeing the design and drafting team


All instrument design deliverables will be reviewed and checked by the Lead Instrumention Designer prior to formal issue to determine if deliverables are compliance with project technical requirements, applicable codes, industry practices, department standards, and constructability.


Skills / Qualifications:
The Lead Instrumentation Designer shall have minimum qualification as below:

  • Diploma/certificates in Engineering course
  • Minimum total of 20 years of design experience as a Instrumentation designer in oil & gas project
  • Minimum of 8 years experience as a lead designer of the oil & gas project
  • Proactive, fluent speak in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Malaysian
  • Leadership skill and positive thinking
  • Able to work under pressure and over the normal business hours
  • Knowledge or able to operate AutoCAD, SPI, Naviswork software
  • Able to conduct presentation, 3D mododel review
