    Job Title: Quality Manager (Melaka)

    We are seeking a highly experienced Quality Manager to lead our local Quality Management team in Melaka. As the key holder of this role, you will be responsible for driving quality and food safety programs, implementing vendor and customer quality initiatives, and managing regional projects.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Talent Development and Team Leadership: Lead the local Quality Management (QM) and Quality Management Improvement (QMI) Teams, focusing on talent development, alignment of responsibilities, and performance management.
    2. Target Setting and Monitoring: Set and monitor targets, provide guidance, and conduct regular performance reviews and talent assessments to ensure the team is aligned with company goals.
    3. Shop Floor Quality and Efficiency: Design and execute shop floor quality and efficiency improvement programs, overseeing new product introductions and technology scale-ups to drive business growth.
    4. Process Optimization: Optimize processes, drive resolution of quality non-conformances, and monitor production transfer activities to ensure seamless operations.
    5. Lean Concepts and Food Safety: Implement lean concepts for shop floor efficiency and enhance local Quality and Food Safety programs to maintain high standards.
    6. Documentation and Risk-Based Audits: Maintain documentation, food safety programs, and establish risk-based internal audit programs to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
    7. Training and Customer Communication: Facilitate training on quality and food safety, implement Vendor and Customer Quality Programs, and manage customer audits and complaints to build strong relationships.
    8. Crisis Management and Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into major complaints, develop corrective action plans, and liaise with the commercial team for customer communication and presentations to resolve issues promptly.

    Requirements:

    1. Experience: Minimum 6-8 years of related experience in end-to-end Quality, including Quality Assurance and Quality Control, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.
    2. Education: University degree in Chemistry, Biology, Analytical Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Sciences or relevant.
    3. Industry Experience: Industrial experience within food-related industries is required.
    4. Leadership Experience: Leadership experience in spearheading the Quality function is highly preferred.
    5. Certifications: Relevant certifications such as FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, and Halal certification are ideal.
    6. Supply Chain Knowledge: Familiarity with the overall supply chain and the ability to advise on operations related to quality.
    7. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational, presentation, and project management skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
    8. Communication Skills: Go-getter personality with effective oral and written communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders.
    9. Complexity Management: Ability to manage complexities associated with materials, processes, and external stakeholders (vendors, customers, authorities).
    10. International Business Experience: Demonstrated leadership in an international business setting, preferably within a matrix organization.
    11. Maturity and Independence: Possess a strong sense of maturity and independence, showcasing ability to work in diverse environments.
    12. Location: Able to work in Ayer Keroh, Melaka.
