Job Title:


  • Planner, Aircraft Check Planning

Reports To:


  • Executive Planner (Line Planning), Check Planning

Role Purpose:


  • Plan coordinate and monitor line Aircraft maintenance activities schedule Out Of Phase (OOP) task and A checks at KUL or Stations. Night stop or long transit maintenance activities of MAB Aircrafts and comply with Company's and Aviation Authority requirements.

Key Accountability:


  • Compile daily A Check Package/OOP task as per due date (AMOS). Determine Aircraft transits/night stops maintenance slot at KUL to ensure sufficient downtime as per Check Package.
  • Calculate Check Package manhours and ensure that the package can be done within the allocated downtime.
  • Prepare and establish Aircraft and Component modification program and Fleet Component removal staggering program whilst monitor, control and coordinate the activities of Modification and Component removal preparation and ensure that the tasks are prepared within the stipulated time.
  • Manage the activities of Check Package creation and ensure that the Check Package is created within the stipulated time.
  • Liaise with other departments e.g. Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Support Services, for availability of spares and tooling (Scheduled Task) for the performance of aircraft maintenance work.
  • Participate in meetings as directed by Executive Planner.
  • To request next available maintenance slot from Aircraft Schedule Planning (ASP) section for deassign OOP task.
  • To prepare weekly report for assign/deassign task and manhours usage for OOP task/check packages.
  • To maintain close communication with Check Planning, Hangar Production and other related sections in ensuring smooth implementation of the work package tasks.
  • To maintain a proper filing system for administrative document and technical document.
  • To carry out any other task as directed by the superior.

Qualifications & Working Experience:


  • Degree in Engineering or any related discipline with 2 years of working experience in Engineering and Maintenance.
  • Diploma/SPM with 3 years of working experience in Engineering and Maintenance Planning.

Skills & Knowledge:


  • High knowledge in Engineering & Maintenance Planning activities, system and processes, particularly Aircraft Schedule Planning.
  • Relevant knowledge and experience in Project / Programme Management.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills, which able to lead with good leadership quality and analytical skills and capable to work under pressure.
  • Moderate to expert skills with project management / office tools (Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint/Words/Project).

Key Challenges:


  • Ensure all aircraft tail assignment are done correctly and diligently to fulfill.
  • Network requirement and all maintenance time are being forecasted and planned accordingly.
  • To work closely with Check Planning in ensuring maintenance time are met and any disruption to aircraft schedule are avoided or minimized.
