SOFTWARE ENGINEERING SECTION
ACADEMIC AND TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT,

UNIKL MIIT (1018,JLN SULTAN ISMAIL, 50250 KUALA LUMPUR)


KEY ROLES

  • Conducting lectures and seminars on software engineering and AIrelated topics to undergraduate and graduate students. Developing course materials, assignments, and exams, and assessing student performance.
  • Conducting cuttingedge research in software engineering and AI, including topics such as software testing and verification, software architecture, intelligent systems, and machine learning. Publishing research findings in academic journals and presenting at conferences.
  • Mentoring and advising students on research projects, theses, and dissertations in software engineering and AI. Providing guidance and support for students' career development.
  • Collaborating with colleagues, researchers, and industry partners on research projects and initiatives in software engineering and AI.
  • Participating in section and campus service activities, including serving on committees, contributing to curriculum development, and engaging in outreach activities to promote software engineering and AI.
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development activities, such as attending conferences, workshops, and seminars to keep uptodate with advances in software engineering and AI.
  • Writing and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for research projects, equipment, and other resources needed for teaching and research.
  • Supervising graduate and undergraduate students, research assistants, and postdoctoral fellows working on software engineering and AIrelated projects.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Ph.
D. or equivalent degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or other related disciplines with demonstrable experience in computing.

  • At least 10 years industrial/teaching experiences in the related field in an academic setting.
  • A track record of teaching and research in fields such as Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence.
  • Evidence of leadership in research, including postgraduate research supervision.
  • Evidence of highquality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to teach introductory and intermediate Computer Science and Software Engineering courses such as Introduction to Programming in C++/Java/Python, Data Structures and Algorithms, Software Design, Software Quality, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Web/Mobile Programming.
  • Able to work in a team.
