Description
Main Purpose of Job:
- Developing and implementing purchasing strategies.
- Managing daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks.
- Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
- Maintaining positive relationships with suppliers.
- Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
- Coordinating with internal teams regarding their supply needs.
- Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.
- Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
- Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports.
- Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets.
- Working to improve purchasing systems and processes.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities.
- To involve in the Quality Environment Management System (QEMS).
- To adhere to Environment, Health & Safety regulations and requirements at all times.
- Ensuring the business meets all its statutory, compliance obligations and renewal all licenses.
- Perform any other adhoc duties designated by Superior or the Management as and when required.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in business administration or a related field.
- Experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar position.
- Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
- Supervisory and management experience.
- Good analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
Salary:
RM8, RM9,000.00 per month
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
