Job Summary:


The legal assistant specializing in contracts supports the legal team within our construction company by managing and facilitating the contract process.

They assist in drafting, reviewing, and organizing various contracts related to construction projects, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, including construction agreements, subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, and vendor contracts.
  • Manage contract templates and documents, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for contract drafting and review.
  • Conduct legal research on construction laws, regulations, and industry standards to support contract development and compliance.
  • Maintain contract databases and tracking systems to monitor contract status, deadlines, and renewals.
  • Assist in resolving contractrelated issues and disputes through communication and negotiation with contractors, vendors, and other parties.
  • Ensure that contracts are properly executed, signed, and archived according to company procedures.
  • Provide administrative support, including filing, correspondence management, and scheduling meetings.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, legal studies, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or contract specialist, with knowledge of construction contracts and terminology.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to review and understand complex legal documents.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Knowledge of construction laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Team player attitude with a willingness to assist colleagues and support departmental goals.

Pay:
From RM4,000.00 per month
