    Description

    Job Title: Mechanical or Automotive Engineer

    We are seeking a skilled Mechanical or Automotive Engineer to join our team at Asia-Recruit.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement product realisation strategies, ensuring timely delivery of projects and finalising product specifications, BOMs, assembly concepts, DFM, and production layouts.
    • Create and maintain PFMEA, Control Plans, and Manufacturing Instructions to ensure efficient production processes.
    • Design and develop assembly jigs and fixtures to improve manufacturing efficiency.
    • Establish product release acceptance criteria, including in-process testing and final outgoing quality control measures.
    • Analyse product failures and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
    • Build and lead an assembly engineering team to enhance mass production products, focusing on First Pass Yield, Engineering Change, Cost, and Productivity improvements.
    • Participate in customer complaint investigations, root cause analyses, and implementation of corrective actions to resolve issues efficiently.
    • Maintain currency of PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, and Manufacturing Instructions to ensure compliance with industry standards.
    • Collaborate with Production on operator training and skill competency matters to ensure seamless workflow.
    • Implement and maintain QMS according to ISO 9001 requirements, supporting audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent discipline.
    • At least 5 years of experience in factory production environments, with managerial/leading exposure preferred.
    • Proficient in Malay and English languages for effective communication.
    • Experience in NPI/First Article Qualification/Product Transfer activities and product lifecycle management & production process control methodologies.
    • Familiarity with CAD Software, Jigs, and fixtures design, as well as understanding of Engineering principles and Quality Tools and Lean Tools.
    • Able to interpret Engineering drawings and tolerance stack analysis.
