Description

'To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Purchasing Manager located in Prai, Penang.

What a typical day looks like:

Prepares instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures.
Establishes goals and objectives for purchasing department.
Develops policies and procedures for the operation of procurement activities.
Manage and lead a team of buyers and expeditors to meet procurement and supplier management objectives.
Interface with procurement groups in updating and maintaining company procurement strategies.
Implement processes with suppliers to improve on time delivery and Purchase Price Variance.
Implement Vendor Managed Inventory models.
Supervise the team in the management of the supply chain to achieve continuous timely supply of parts and services.
Prepares, approves and issues purchase orders and change notices through subordinates.
Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
Ensures continuity of raw material supply to support production schedules and balances with achieving inventory level targets.
Analyzes inventory levels. Supports process to manage excess and obsolete material.
Conduct supplier performance reviews and support the team to maintain supplier consistent on time delivery and implement processes with suppliers to ensure on time delivery and quality of product / service.
Manage the sourcing of new supply bases for competitive pricing, quality and reliable products.
Keep senior management informed of present/future trends in availability and cost of materials, components and equipment.
Monitors ontime supplier deliveries, inventory turns, MRP execution, Purchase Price Variance, leadtime reduction, supplier performance and cost analysis.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

Typically requires a Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience.
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in materials or related field.
A background in electronics manufacturing is desired.'
