Data Analytics Manager - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - Optimum Solutions (Singapore) Pte Ltd
Description
The manager role is expected to lead and execute data-driven solutions for banks and non-banks on retail and SME loan portfolios, using a consultancy approach to deliver tailored solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a small team of data analysts to develop and implement advanced analytics models for risk management and credit scoring using SAS or similar tools.
- Utilize credit bureau data and other relevant data sources to create tailored propositions and solutions for banks and nonbanks on retail and SME loan portfolios.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to deliver datadriven actionable insights and recommendations, taking into account the specific needs and requirements of each client.
- Use a consultancy approach to engage with clients, understand their business challenges, and provide customized datadriven solutions that address their unique needs.
- Continuously monitor and improve data quality to ensure accuracy and completeness and incorporate feedback from clients to improve solutions and services.
- Use statistical and data visualization techniques to present data in a clear and compelling way and communicate insights and recommendations effectively to clients.
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in the banking and credit risk management industry, and share insights and knowledge with clients and the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, computer science, etc.).
- At least 8 years of experience in data analytics, with a focus on credit risk management and/or banking, and minimum 2 years of experience in a management role.
- Strong knowledge of data and modelling tools such as SAS, Python, and R, and advanced data handling skills.
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with the ability to communicate complex data concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Experience in retail and SME banking, with a background in credit risk management. Experience with credit bureau data is a plus.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- A consultancy approach to client engagement, with the ability to understand and address the unique needs and challenges of each client.
