1. Oversee and supervise staff under Operations Department, which covers Operations, Surveying and Claims.- Plan, organize, execute and monitor collection and delivery of East Malaysia (EM) vehicles by Giga Shipping Sdn Bhd until all vehicles reach the port safely and timely.
- Monitor collection and delivery of EM vehicles at discharge ports in EM (Kuching / Bintulu / Kota Kinabalu / Labuan).
- Monitor service quality and performance of vendors in Peninsular and East Malaysia.
- Monitor implementation and execution of new supply chain system (PROACT) in Peninsular & East Malaysia.
- Ensure all operation staff and vendors comply with company policies and SOPs.
- Monitor vessel operations at Port Klang and physically attend to the vessel (whenever required).
- Supervise and maintain cargo operations related data.
- Liaise closely with ALD and Forwarding departments to ensure all documentation is in order.
- To attend meetings at the port or with government authorities as and when required to do so.
- To inspect and monitor the operations at the car terminal at Westport on a daily basis.
- Responsible for providing operation reports as required by superior and management.
- Responsible for providing feedback, comments, analysis, and recommendations for improvement in operations process flow whenever required by superior and management.
- Monitor marine insurance claims for Peninsular & East Malaysia.
- Ensure claims are settled in a timely manner.
- Provide analysis of claim cases to superior and management.
- Understand the importance of Kaizen and constantly push for safety, quality and satisfactory service level towards customers.
- Assist superior and management whenever required.
- Assist with other assignments, tasks or projects assigned from time to time.
**mileage is claimable
Salary:
RM4, RM5,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Shah Alam: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
