Implement and manage an effective legal compliance program.

Draft and revise company policies.
Oversee and assist in the management of all corporate, financial, and accounting operations such as accounting, cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and tax planning.
Ensure statutory compliance, including audit taxation, GST, internal control, and any other business governance requirements.
Proactively audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses.
Evaluate business activities (e.g. investments) to assess compliance risk.
Collaborate with external auditors and HR when needed.
Set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation.
Keep abreast of internal standards and business goals, requirements and skills.
Advise management on the company's compliance with laws and regulations through detailed reports.
Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations.
Regularly audit company procedures, practices and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risks.
Ensure all employees are educated in the latest regulations and processes.

Job Requirements

Minimum Degree in law, finance, business administration or any related field.
Minimum 23 years of working experience in the related field.
Proven experience as a Compliance Officer or Compliance Manager.
Professional certification (e.g. Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) is a plus.
Knowledge of legal requirements and controls (e.g. Anti-Money Laundering, or AML).
Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards.
Experienced in manufacturing accounting, commercial accounting, costing and corporate tax is an added advantage.
Able to work with minimum supervision, as well as able to contribute to learn development.
People and results oriented and committed with a strong sense of urgency.
Excellent in communication skills and proficient in various languages will be an added advantage.
