Job Description:
The Payroll Manager is responsible for managing the payroll function within an organization.

They are in charge of ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee pay, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the entire payroll process, including collecting timekeeping information, calculating wages and deductions, and monthly salaries pay out or direct deposits.
  • Manage the maintenance of accurate employee records in the payroll system.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations by staying up-to-date on changes in legislation and implementing necessary adjustments to payroll processes.
  • Prepare reports for management on payroll expenses, labour costs, overtime payments etc.
  • Review and reconcile general ledger accounts related to payroll transactions.
  • Collaborate with HR department to ensure accuracy of employee data such as new hires, terminations or changes in compensation.
  • Address inquiries from employees regarding their salary or deductions in a timely manner.
  • Process year-end activities including YTD summary preparation and reporting.

Requirements:


  • Degree; Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Finance or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal/state tax regulations related to payroll processing.
  • Experience working with automated accounting/payroll systems (Quick Pay; HR 2000) proficiency in MS Office suite (especially Excel).
  • Strong attention to detail with high level of accuracy when handling sensitive data
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) for effective interaction with employees at all levels within the organization.

RM4, RM5,500.00 per month
