AIG's underwriters help to find insurance solutions for risks from a range of areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, Multinational Clients and High Net Worth individuals.

About the role


What you need to know:


Description:

Handle all areas not limited to sales, product development, pricing, planning & coordinate marketing activities with distribution channels.
Provide product training for all channels including SME risk appetite and identify areas for growth.

Contribute to the overall strategic direction and development of the SME portfolio, review of electronic trading platform (Transact) business rules and rating algorithm and improvements in operational efficiency.

Performance Measurements, expressed in quantifiable terms where applicable


To fulfill the following KPIs:

Execute and measure performance of distribution channels assigned (Agents & Brokers) to achieve business targets. Expected hit ratio of 60% on new business and retention ratio of 86% for the renewals.
Assist HOD with the development and roll-out of any new products.

Work closely with Corporate Communication and Legal to coordinate all marketing and communication activities, materials, and collaterals in conjunction with any new products launched.

Lead and coordinate UAT activity for the department.
Responsible for underwriting and portfolio management of the department. Quarterly review of business rules and recommend areas of improvement.
Assist HOD on any other ad-hoc tasks, assignments, projects, reports, presentation, training, marketing & communication materials for the department.


What we're looking for:


Requirements:

Bachelor's degree
AMII or ACII (Added advantage)
Competencies Required

Knowledge required:
(e.g. Problem solving, Decision making, Analytical, Communication, Initiative)
5 years + in the insurance industry specifically Commercial Insurance
