Requirements

  • Diploma or above in any engineering field
  • Minimum
    5 years management experience in manufacturing environment
  • Good management, leadership & interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (
    Japanese is an added advantage)
  • Strong analytical, problemsolving skill, result orientated & hardworking
  • Able to work with mínimal supervision

Principle Responsibilities

  • Managing & developing a team of Manufacturing staff including improving attendance, discipline, productivity, quality, etc.
  • Planning, managing, and improving of the productivity, quality, cost and delivery of the manufacturing process.
  • Team up with the engineering and equipment team to raise output and product quality.
  • Cooperate with other departments or the Japanese side for any manufacturing improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for both Manufacturing productivity, quality, cost, delivery & improvement.

Scope of duties

1. Delivery

  • To liaise with HR department for staff recruitment and hiring process
  • To monitor and control headcount based on budget plan from management.
  • To plan and manage staff in order to ensure the production line run reliably and efficiently and meet production output.
  • To plan for staff's multitasking and skill improvement to meet overall production output
  • To plan and improve production equipment layout or simplify the jig/tools in order to achieve the total utilization capacity.
  • To involve in stock count activities and production system and monitor any abnormality related to manufacturing material.
  • To plan, develop and improve the manufacturing operating, data recording, monitoring and traceability system.
  • To work with equipment engineering for the design or modification of equipment, machine, jig, tool, etc for productivity improvement.
  • To plan and manage the downtime of equipment and work together with equipment engineering for productivity and quality improvement.
  • To plan and introduce new technology, development, improvement of new equipment and tools for productivity and quality improvement.

2. Quality

  • To work together with engineer team to identify, investigate and analyze root cause for process and product abnormality.
  • To organize and manage yield improvement activities (FRT team, etc) progress for product quality improvement.
  • To manage the establishment, control and update of the standard working procedure
  • To plan and manage staff skill in order to improve product yield
  • To plan and manage patrol to ensure staff's operation is done according to the operation procedure.
  • To work with QC for the product quality verification and improvement
  • To manage and improve manufacturing abnormality and yield status after engineering has done changes on the process.
  • To make and perform process risk assessment.

3. Cost

  • To plan and manage operator's attendance, discipline and productivity.
  • To plan, standardize and simplify manufacturing operation process in order to increase the production capability.
  • To plan and monitor cost reduction activities.
  • To manage and improve for manufacturing tact time.
  • To support manufacturing overall budget planning and control cost budget is expensed as per budgeted.

4. Safety

  • To manage and improve the environment and safety of production floor
  • Part of ERT member
  • To identify and perform safety risk assessment for manufacturing floor

5. Human Management

  • To review and manage staff probation confirmation and performance appraisal.
  • To plan and make the material of basic knowledge and company standard training to all related staff.
  • To make and improve the system to train and qualify manufacturing staff on their job scope and skill.
  • To plan, manage and improve the attendance, discipline and performance of manufacturing staff and proceed for improvement.
  • To manage and improve the system of attendance monitoring, accumulating point system and productivity monitoring.
  • To plan and control budget of material parts for training purpose and manufacturing consumables parts stock.
  • To manage and improve manufacturing staff on the QMS management and ISO
  • To make the plan and schedule for overall manufacturing staff development
  • To assist and manage staff in setting their KPI based on company policy and KPI
  • To support the planning of the overall organization of the manufacturing

6. New Model Introduction

  • To prepare manufacturing headcount (leader, operator,etc) for new product training.
  • To plan manufacturing layout for new product.
  • To work together with the engineering side to make sure new product introduction related to manufacturing side is on schedule.
  • To support the engineering side for the establishing and updating of new product operation procedure.
  • To plan the overall manufacturing process flow and layout for new product running in manufacturing.
