    Head, M25+ IT Categories in Group Strategic Procurement

    Maintain and improve Maybank's IT hardware and software category strategy to align with the organization's overall IT and business goals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop a comprehensive category plan for IT hardware and software that meets the organization's needs.
    • Analyze the market, assess suppliers, and evaluate cost-benefit options to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
    • Find, evaluate, and select key vendors for IT hardware and software.
    • BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH KEY SUPPLIERS TO ENSURE HIGH LEVELS OF PERFORMANCE, RELIABILITY, AND COMPLIANCE WITH CONTRACTUAL TERMS.
    • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs) to secure optimal value for Maybank.

    Procurement & Supply Chain Optimization:

    • Oversee the entire procurement process from RFP/RFQ issuance to contract award and vendor performance monitoring.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Group Technology, Group Finance) to understand requirements and forecast demand for IT hardware and software.

    Cost Control & Performance Measurement:

    • Monitor and report on category performance to ensure cost targets are met and quality standards are maintained.
    • Implement initiatives to streamline processes and drive operational efficiencies in procurement.
    • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them.
    • Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices.

    Cross-functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with IT, Finance, and other relevant departments to align category strategies with business objectives.
    • Provide market insights and recommendations to support IT strategy and budget planning at Maybank.

    Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, IT, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
    • 6-10 years of experience in IT procurement, category management, or a similar role with a focus on hardware and software.
    • Proven track record in developing and implementing sourcing strategies that deliver cost savings and improved vendor performance.
    • Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Experience using procurement and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Coupa, Zycus, Ariba) and proficiency in data analysis tools.
    • Knowledge of IT infrastructure and software licensing models is highly desirable.
