    **Job Summary**

    We're the people who keep the cloud running. Our team owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

    You'll collaborate with diverse teams across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

    Key Responsibilities

    This role acts as Amazon's front line when it comes to hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting. You will:

    1. Oversee all aspects of the data center's critical physical infrastructure, ensuring high-quality work without impact to internal/external customers.
    2. Manage teams of 24x7 engineering technicians to support and operate data center facilities.
    3. Engage in improvement projects, driving them from conception to completion.
    4. Coordinate daily with third-party vendors, ensuring adherence to contracted SLAs.
    5. Effectively manage operations budgets and expenditures.
    6. Routinely operate as the afterhours on-call Data Center Facility Manager, responding to issues and managing their investigation, mitigation, and recovery.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    To be successful in this role, you'll need:

    1. 8+ years of relevant experience in facilities and/or construction management, demonstrating progressive responsibility and growth.
    2. Ability to conduct financial business case analysis and translate information into useful formats.
    3. Experience building and managing budgets.
    4. Familiarity with business process documentation and improvement.
    5. Ability to lead negotiations and manage high-level meetings and discussions.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    In addition to the basic qualifications, we're looking for candidates with:

    1. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant technical degree, along with relevant experience in a critical environment.
    2. Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment.
    3. Experience managing vendors/contractors performing construction, maintenance, and upgrading works in large-scale critical environments.
    4. High attention to detail, including precise customer communications and ability to manage multiple priorities.
    5. Strong organizational and team management skills.
    6. Registration with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission) as a competent person/Chargeman/Energy Manager.
