The role is senior role and member of the Senior Management Team.*****Summary
Overall, the Global Director, Corporate Services is a global and critical role in ensuring the smooth
operation of various support functions within the organisation, enabling the business to focus on

its core activities and strategic objectives.

Reporting to the Secretary General, the Global Director, Corporate Services understands and
contributes to building a global strategic direction in addition to being a hands-on and participative

manager who leads and develops an internal team to support the following areas:

  • Financial management
  • Human resource, people and culture management
  • Audit and risk management
  • Administrative support

Main executive tasks:

In fulfilment of the overall responsibility of the job, the Global Director, Corporate Services will


undertake, among other duties:

  • Effective provision of all financial and management of accounting activities to ensure
satisfactory control, treasury management, and insightful provision of management
information across the organisation.

  • Control, including cost control and measures for continuous reassurance to the Secretary
General, Finance, Risk and Audit Committees and the WSC.

  • Ensure effective human resource processes across all WSB Support Centres worldwide.
  • Timely preparation and issuance of monthly and ad hoc management reporting on all
required aspects of operational performance, including variance analysis and
recommendations for action.

  • Oversight of the financial implications of all funding (and potential) relationships,
contribution to funding pitches and appropriate representative engagement.

  • Preparation and updating of all relevant committee papers.
  • Supporting and servicing the needs of the Risk and Audit Committee.
  • Preparing the schedule of risks for the Secretary General, Risk and Audit Committee and
subsequent WSC approval.

  • Management and motivation of all employees in relation to own functional leadership, and
supervision of direct reports.

  • Oversight of relevance and cost effectiveness of any outsourced services, e.g. financial
system, auditing firms, human resource service providers.

  • Providing appropriate functional guidance and direction to staff members, consultants and
contractors across the regions.

  • Delegated project activity.
  • Global management of all related operations.
  • Acting on behalf of the organization as may be required.
**Key responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning**:
Develops and implements global strategic plans for corporate services,

aligned with the organisation's overall goals and objectives.

Budgeting and Financial Management:
Oversees the financial planning and budgeting

processes for the organisation, ensuring efficient use of resources globally. Consolidates budgets

and expenses across all Support Centres. Provides direction to senior management on the

allocation and use of resources. Analyse and make recommendation related on all major financial
decisions. Drive and streamline the financial planning across regions.

Team Management:
Leads and manages a team of professionals, across all WSB Support

Centres worldwide, responsible for various corporate services functions such finance, human
resources, and administration.

Policy Development:
Develops, implements, and updates policies and procedures related to

corporate services to ensure compliance with legal requirements and governance standards.

5.


Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:
Ensures global compliance with all relevant laws,

regulations, and industry standards pertaining to corporate services functions, such as data

protection, health and safety, and environmental regulations.

6.


Risk Management:
Identifies and assesses potential risks associated with corporate services

and developing strategies to mitigate those risks.

7.


Vendor Management:
Establishes and maintains relationships with external vendors and

service providers, negotiates contracts, and ensures service level agreements are met. Provides

support across all WSB Support Centres Worldwide in streamlining and ensuring compliance of

these processes.

8.


Facilities Management:
Plans, coordinates, and oversees facilities management activities on a

strategic level, including office space planning, maintenance, security, and health and safety in all

WSB Support Centres worldwide.

9.


Continuous Improvement:
Identifies areas for improvement within global corporate services

and implements initiatives to enhance efficiency, organisational values and culture, and improve

service quality across all WSB Support Centres worldwide.

10.


Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborates with senior management team, department heads,

and other stakeholders to understand their needs and align corporate services strateg
