Position summary


We are currently looking for a highly competent Global Procurement Manager based in Malaysia, who will manage a significant part of the commercial and sourcing activity for Coffee used by Nestlé worldwide.


Reporting directly to the Global Category Leader, your main responsibility will be to define and implement the category strategy on a global level utilizing strategic sourcing processes, tools and policies.

Located in hubs in Switzerland, Panama and Malaysia, our division provides a range of services, including the management of procurement for specific raw materials, packaging, indirect materials and other services.

A day in a life of a Global Procurement Manager - Coffee

  • Contributing to the global sourcing strategy whilst implementing a strong communication and supplier management plan.
  • Negotiating contracts ensuring the most beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers in line with the strategy.
  • Managing the relationship with various stakeholders to integrate category plans and outcomes in local budgets and planning.
  • Planning and leading regular Business and SLA reviews with suppliers to ensure agreed service levels are achieved.
  • Ensure compliance to Nestlé's Corporate Business Principles, policies and standards.
  • Be able to manage innovation with suppliers and/or integrate their innovation into our organization.
  • Identify opportunities and lead regional/global leverage and synergy projects for cost and efficiency optimization.

What makes you successful

  • University degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics or Finance.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procuring or trading Coffee
  • Ideally experience in several market regions (Asian, American and European).
  • Demonstrated success in risk management, responsible sourcing and supplier relationship management.
  • Demonstrated experience in optimizing portfolio via continuous improvement and cost reduction activities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders across a complex organization.
  • Understanding of National and International Procurement Regulations.
  • Knowledge of the futures commodity market is welcome.
  • Fluency in English, another language will be an asset.
