About
About the team
Our Search Operations team focuses on providing operational support for TikTok's search optimization, user demands and search quality.

Our Search Quality Assurance have deep knowledge of data labelling, search strategies optimizations platforms and provide policy guidelines to the search specialist.


To eliminate any doubt, this role involves reading, viewing, listening and examining user-generated content to ensure they comply with community guidelines.


Content includes images, video, text related to every day life, but they can also include (but are not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; murder.

Responsibilities

  • Quality inspection of evaluated data and daily task of specialists.
  • Localise the policy, be responsible for policy training, and align the policy updates.
  • Conduct calibration meeting with the team in the appeal process: analyse different cases, record and evaluate their performance, offer solution and suggestions for the current problem to help the team improve the accuracy rate and alignment.
  • Work closely with R&D and Product Manager in order to provide feedback on data quality.
  • Willing to work on sensitive issues that include child exploitation, a variety of religous and political views, violence, adult and sexual contents.
  • Other ad hoc and relevant projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or above with 12 years of experience, major in journalism, literature, mathematics, computer, medicine, law, and economics.
  • Excellent language skills in English and Malay language, as the role will oversee Malaysia market.
  • Knowledge about AI or related models, familiar with social media platform.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with QA and data delivery process.
  • Overseas working/training is a plus
  • An in depth understanding of the culture and familiarity with the internet usage habit of the users.
  • Strong ability to learn and understand.
  • Familiar with common office software.
  • Search evaluation experience is preferred.
