What you'll do:
- Deal with the specific requirements for the various markets assigned and to look into effective ways to standardize certain practices across markets.
- Perform Regulatory MPF checking and update
- Sub custodian monitoring
- Documents review and update (SLD, PLA, SLA, POA, Fee schedule, GC rate card etc)
- Due diligence (as a services provider) for TFS, N2MI, Cayman, ROAP sites)
- Handling physical contracts / POA / agreements etc
- Overseeing offshore city sites team operation
- Review incidents and review legacy process
- Analyse and coordinate market news, market changes and new requirements
- Keep abreast with the latest development in the rules and regulations by the regulators of the various markets and to identify the implications involved to the current corporate action processes.
- Deal with internal and external attrition and their operational affects.
- Drive customer centric Quality initiatives.
- Effectively mitigate identified Operational Risks.
- Comply with Group's statutory audit standards.
What you will need to succeed in the role
- Ability to speak and understand English fluently, writes business letters and reports, and have good conversational / telephone skills.
- Ability to learn quickly, transfers knowledge appropriately, understand and interpret numeric data.
- Evidence of good analytical, statistical and data mining skills to study trends and make projections. Production management skills and ability to initiate process improvements.
- Leadership skills, with ability to build rapport with, relate to and effectively develop a wide range of people.
- Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with custodian, customers and service providers
- Good command of spoken and written English, with additional proficiency in Putonghua an advantage.
What additional skills will be good to have?_ _**- Good knowledge and experience in using internal/external systems - GHSS (as our internal custody system), IMS, Multifonds (as our internal A&V systems), Easyway and Bloomberg etc.
- Experience in Network management / Custody operation is preferred
- Possess relevant Securities background and knowledge at least 18 months of Securities experience.
- Those who have IAQ qualifications will have an advantage.
