Job Summary:


We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our culinary team as a Food and Beverage Commis Chef.

In this entry-level position, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your culinary skills under the guidance of experienced chefs.

The Commis Chef plays a crucial role in food preparation, assisting with mise en place, cooking, and maintaining kitchen hygiene standards.

This position is ideal for aspiring chefs who are passionate about food and eager to embark on a rewarding career in the culinary arts.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist with food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior kitchen staff.
  • Prepare ingredients by chopping, peeling, and portioning as directed.
  • Follow recipes and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and quality of dishes.
  • Assist in the plating and presentation of dishes according to established guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, checking for quality and freshness of ingredients.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
  • Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and storage.
  • Participate in menu planning and development as directed by senior chefs.
  • Follow instructions and take direction from senior kitchen staff members.

Qualifications:


  • Previous experience in a culinary role or culinary education preferred but not required.
  • Passion for food and eagerness to learn and develop culinary skills.
  • Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food safety principles.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions and take direction from senior chefs.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
