**Our Role**

The Production Supervisor is a people manager responsible for supporting the safe delivery of the production plan. This includes continuously reviewing production activities and supervising/leading the shift and operations teams to ensure safe and efficient performance of production assets.

**Key Focus Areas Include:**

• Assist in monitoring and optimizing daily production activities, such as production, maintenance, quality, logistics, purchasing, HSE and administration, and supervise/lead the shift and operations teams to deliver production objectives.
• Support production planning to enable production capacity to build inventory and meet required volume, quality, and specification of dispatched products.
• Review plant production data and trends to optimize processes and deliver efficient production.
• Ensure safe and effective operation of processing plants within company policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with customers' quality standards and specifications, production schedules, and deliveries.
• Coordinate dispatch of goods for customer orders and required ex-works sales transactions while ensuring ZERO overloading of product dispatch.
• Lead the team towards continuous improvement in plant performance, processes, profitability, and HSE.
• Confer with department heads to ensure coordination of production, purchasing, and shipping operations.
• Scheduling employee and contractor labour to meet production requirements.
• Manage cost expenditure to ensure production delivers required activities within budgeted Operating Expenditure (OpEx).
• Coordinate risk management activities, supervision of employees, contractors, and visitors, and ensure that plant operations comply with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain operational availability of equipment and facilities, and efficient maintenance of the plant to minimize any production losses.

**Requirements for Success:**

• Degree in Process Engineering or similar relevant qualification.
• Demonstrable experience (+5 years) in safely managing, leading, and motivating production teams to deliver production requirements and process improvements.
• Strong knowledge of safety requirements and ability to deliver world-class safe production.
• Ability to multitask and undertake a broad range of production-related activities and optimization projects.
• Previous experience in Cement, Lime, Gold, Copper, or similar heavy industry.
• Coaching and mentoring skills, excellent attention to detail, and budgetary prudence.
