We are looking for a motivated, dynamic
Supply Chain Manager to join our team.

Your responsibilities will be for supply chain of the integrated business in Malaysia including but not limited to planning, sourcing, procuring and distribution of direct and indirect materials to all Rentokil Initial Malaysia branches across Peninsula and East Malaysia.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES / REQUIREMENTS:

This is an advance professional role. The person is expected to be highly-skilled with extensive proficiency. Must have extensive operational understanding of all supply chain and procurement policies and procedures.

Expected to work on projects/issues of low, medium to high complexity that require demonstrated knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments.


Reporting directly to the country Managing Director, the person will be responsible to direct and oversee the whole organisation's overall supply chain and procurement operations, including sourcing and procuring of materials/products/services, selection of vendors, and the management and distribution of materials/products/services.

Be able to evaluate past performance data and trends to forecast needs and procuring schedules. Develop and execute strategic plans to improve cost, productivity, quality and efficiency of the Supply Chain function operations. Ensures compliance to contractual changes and/or updates based on company and regulatory guidelines.

The person may be required to manage departmental sub-functions within a broader departmental function. Expected to create functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develop budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-functions and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Coaches and mentoring of staff.

Must be able to work without supervision on complex projects. Complete latitude for independent judgement.


JOB SUMMARY


The Head of Department - Procurement & Supply Chain will take a leadership role ensuring the execution of an effective and efficient supply chain and procurement process and procedures whilst ensuring values and competencies in maintaining transparency, integrity and compliance with established rules and regulations.

Specifically, the Head of Department - Procurement and Supply Chain will perform the following responsibilities, but not limited to:


General Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversees activities related to timely, costeffective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of all purchased materials/products/services to avoid costly delays and lost in revenue through outofstock situations.
  • Establishes policies and procedures that ensure the economic and quality of materials/products/services purchased.
  • Develops, implements and maintains policies, procedures and inventory control systems to reduce cost, streamline procedures and implement solutions.
  • Ensures comprehensive market analysis to determine vendor sources and product development as part of protecting our supply base.
  • Ensure comprehensive and regular price benchmarking for materials/products/services to determine vendors are delivering at most reasonable cost.
  • Responsible for sourcing and supplying materials/products/services, as well as coordinating with both regional and global procurement efforts, where applicable.
  • Ensures availability of materials in the supply chain as scheduled and maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels to support business growth.
  • Ensures appropriate and most cost effective negotiation and award of contractual purchase agreements with vendors.
  • Review financial and management reports of procurement and supply chain activities and recommends changes in method and procedures based on the report outcome.
  • Prepare management reports/data of procurement and supply chain from time to time as may be required by country, regional or global management.
  • Meets and confers with vendor representatives to discuss price changes, trade and cash discounts and delivery arrangements.
  • Ensure focus on continuous cost improvement across all business segments and timely reporting of these cost improvement activities.
  • Demonstrated effective leadership of the department including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, employees development and employee relations issues.
  • Demonstrate the ability to shape and structure the subfunctions and team to support the sustainability and continuous growth of the team to in line with the growth of the business.
  • Ability to utilised system, data and technology to drive function backoffice improvements.
