Plan and conduct internal training relating to professional and regulatory standards
Maintain and develop tools, templates, and resources used by the audit and assurance department in performing their engagements
Update and enforce firm's quality management policies and procedures
Monitor operating effectiveness of the Firm's internal controls and quality of audit engagements, with reporting and followup on remedial plans
Respond to technical queries from leadership and engagement teams in relation to professional and regulatory standards
Implement changes to the Firm's audit methodology and intellectual resources to maintain compliance with latest professional standards and applicable approved accounting and auditing standards in Malaysia
Liaise with various global/local professional bodies and regulators on latest development of current issues in the industry
Convert technical literature into simple language for communication and into usable document from time to time
Assist in any other adhoc projects or assignments which may be assigned on a need basis

Qualifications:

Requirement:

Education Background : Degree in Finance / Accounting / Economy or equivalent qualification. Member of a recognized accounting body (i.e. MIA, ACCA, CPA, MICPA, ICAEW or equivalent) would be added advantage.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of audit and assurance experience.
Others: MFRS and MPERS standard knowledge
Have strong working knowledge of the MIA By-Laws, auditing standards and international and local accounting standards.
Be current on industry development related to professional and regulatory standards
Able to work independently as well as a team player.
High degree of selfmotivation, resultsoriented and able to work independently.
Strong ability to listen, analyze and resolve issues independently
Effective management of competing priorities and to complete tasks/projects in a timely manner and to a high standard
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with excellent command in spoken and written English
