We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Wealth and Personal Banking team in the role of
Marketing Manager.



Role Purpose:
This role is part of the Global Marketing function.

The function focuses on understanding present and future customer needs, identification of market opportunities, development and execution of marketing strategies, and programmes.

The ultimate goal is to drive improvements in HSBC brand equity and contribute to customer growth, revenue growth, increase customer value and satisfaction in order to meet agreed objectives and key results.


Principal accountabilities:


  • Understand the Affluent banking segment, and identify and develop strategies to resonate with and market to this segment.
  • Think beyond existing propositions and leverage existing solutions inside and outside WPB and build new ones to solve their life needs.
  • Coordinate, manage and execute communications plan, initiatives and activities to deliver against the Affluent segment growth objective.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure that the HSBC brand is promoted to the Affluent segment in a cohesive and consistent way with the right tone and manner.
  • Deploy effective communication strategy focusing on digital and social media to increase engagement with the Affluent segment.
  • Liaise with stakeholders on Affluent banking segment related matters for marketing.
  • Work with the Insights team for ongoing monitoring of key Affluent segment customer trend and behaviour and areas of innovation which influence the way we interact and engage with the segment.
  • Develop clear briefs to drive smooth and efficient delivery of activities for the Affluent segment, ensuring it is tracked and measured appropriately to demonstrate effectiveness and return on investment.
  • Conduct postanalysis to ascertain efficiency and effectiveness of the initiatives and for ongoing improvement.
  • Be a customer champion and adopt agile ways of working
  • The role holder must support achievement of the HSBC vision, values, goals and culture in personal behaviour, actions and decision making.
Requirements

  • University graduate in business studies with a background in marketing is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a marketing role with past track record in segment management/persona marketing and a good understanding of banking products would be highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to be a selfstarter with energy and drive in a challenging and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to think innovatively, shaping and communicating new concepts.
  • Commitment to putting the customer at the heart of all development and implementation activities.
  • Proficient in data analysis and able to come up with insights and directions from data points.
  • Strong project and time management, advertising production, media campaign implementation and direct marketing with good commercial sense.
  • A team player with good interpersonal skills, organised and be able to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experienced in liaising with external business partners and suppliers.
  • Good language skills, both writing and speaking, in mainly English. Mandarin and Malay will be added advantage.
