Description
The CFO is responsible for (1) overseeing the company's entire finance function (including but
- not limited to accounting, treasury and fundraising, reporting, financial planning and analysis,
- corporate finance, tax, and procurement), (2) ensuring compliance with all legal, statutory,
- and listing (Bursa Malaysia and Securities Commission) requirements, (3) identifying
- opportunities to improve financial controls or processes and executing such changes, and (4)
- providing strategic advice to the Group MD, Group CEO, and C-Suite.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the
  • Group.
  • Monitor banking activities and ensure adequate cash flow to meet the needs
- of the Company and the Group.

  • Assist in identifying new funding opportunities and determining the cost
- effectiveness of prospective funding modalities.

  • Provide leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short,
- medium and long-term strategic financial objectives.

  • Ensure credibility of the group finance function in ensuring high level of
- financial governance and by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets,
- financial trends and forecasts.

  • Assist the Company to manage and improve reporting, corporate governance,
- risk management, and internal controls procedures in line with Bursa Malaysia
- and Securities Commission's requirements.

  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with
- the applicable local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.

  • To manage/ improve the existing ERP and identify areas of improvements
- using the tools available across all departments.

  • Support the Group MD/ Group CEO on any and all business expansion efforts
- and corporate exercises, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

  • Liaise with financial service institutions and professional advisors (legal,
- corporate finance) as and when needed on

  • Support the Group MD/ Group CEO on any and all investor relations activities.
  • Travel to various countries, if required.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to
- identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.

  • Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of all
- business activities and develop tax strategies to support overall Company and
- the Group policies and objectives.

  • Any other duties as may assigned by the management.

Education and Experience:

  • BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field and related professional qualification,
- e.g., MIA member.

  • At least 15 year(s) of relevant working experience (including at least 3 years in a public
  • Age below 42 with open race and Gender
- listed company) and has broad knowledge across multiple areas of finance.

  • Experience managing finance functions in more than one country.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload as priorities change, and ability to meet
- deadlines.

  • Experience with corporate finance (mergers and acquisition) and investor relations is an added advantage.

Salary:
RM25, RM28,000.00 per month


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Cyberjaya: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
