Responsibilities:
-

As part of the Accounts team, the Accountant reports to the Finance Manager in Singapore.
Supervise a team of 4 accounting staff in Malaysia.
Perform & coordinate month end closing of accounts including review of billings and postings of journals and ensure completeness, accuracy and timely closing of accounts.
Responsible for timely preparation of monthly & quarterly financial reports to Management
Perform monthly analysis of financial reports against budget and previous years actuals.
Responsible for stock provision preparation
Review month end audit schedules prepared by the Accounts Executive
Maintain fixed asset register & perform cost maintenance.
Oversee the Accounts Payable team (foreign currency invoices) and handle bankingrelate matters with banks.
Liaison with external auditors as part of the year end annual audit including timely preparation of Audited Financial Statements / Reports
Assist in the preparation of budgets for review by Management.
Handle tax related matters in the area of Corporate & GST tax
Handle adhoc matters & projects as assigned.

Requirements:
-

Degree in Accountancy / ACCA.
Min 5 years of relevant experience including min 2 years in a Public Accounting firm.
Good working knowledge of IFRS & Singapore taxation.
Prior experience in the retail industry will be a bonus.
Speed and accuracy in terms of work quality.
Strong problemsolving & analytical skills.
Well organized and structured thought process.
Meticulous with attention to details.
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfortable with systems.
Able to multitask and work under pressure.
Good communication & interpersonal skills.
