Description

1 Lead and direct solutions to technical issues in relation to equipment and processes in the Flour Mill from Raw Material Intake/ Silo, Wheat Cleaning, Milling, Flour Blending, Storage and Distribution, Packing and Warehouse and Logistics to achieve optimised quality, speed and cost with safety and environment in mind in meeting the performance of the Flour Division.

Track performance through sound KPIs including yield management reports, OEE, utilisation % and others for decision making process.

2 Provide sound recommendation with good financial justification on new technologies in Flour Milling and best practices in Automation and Digitalisation/IOT of the processes to reduce costs and improve efficiencies in delivering flour to customers and analysis of performance through data analytics.

This is to be followed by effective planning and execution of the approved action plans 3 Study and analyse various combinations of Wheat, Gristing and its quality to match the specific requirements of flour quality expected by the customer (including internal stakeholders).

This is to be combined with the detailed view of the flour streams and flour blending to meet the quality specifications and optimise the cost, especially in relation to the flexibility in purchasing of wheat.

4 Conduct customer visits as and when required to provide sound recommendations and solutions with follow up actions in support of the Sales and Marketing team in growing Flour business (domestically and internationally) in the long term.

This includes analysis of the competitors performance to build strategies to compete in the industry.

5 Lead major Capex + process improvement projects and cost reduction projects, which includes cost optimization on grist and blend, waste management and material cost, energy savings, Variable and Fixed Overheads reduction with firm tracking of deadlines and effectiveness of the changes implemented.

6 Establish and implement group and individual accountabilities with set objectives and goals over time throughout the department, direct and synergize the actions and activities of plant staff in meeting the performance.

Monitor staff progress through appraisals, feedback sessions with effective communication to inspire and improve them, whilst managing non-performers.

Coordinate and carry out the training to enhance the skills of the talent pool and charting/ grooming the next line of leaders in Flour milling.

7 Provide data and information as and when required by the Management and contribute to the process of preparation of the annual business plan, strategy and expenditure budget.

Accurate ERP (JDE) transactions especially in inventory and manufacturing modules are a requirement to ensuring accurate performance and financial reporting.

8 Ensure all policy and procedures issued by local government and regulatory authorities are implemented and enforced in the plant.

This also includes the policies and procedures established by the Company and other governing bodies and certifications such as FSSC22000, ISPS, ISO, HALAL, SIRIM and more.

9 Provide sound technical advice and leadership to other stakeholders in the Group as and when required, namely the Centralised Workshop, Feed mills and Aqua Feed mills that will improve it's technical processes and increase efficiencies.

10 Perform any other tasks and assignments as directed by the management from time to time.
