Description

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Develop annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with senior management. Monitor performance against budget and provide variance analysis. Identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Conduct financial analysis to support decisionmaking processes. Analyze financial data, trends, and metrics to provide insights into business performance. Make recommendations for improving profitability and financial health.
• Manage cash flow and liquidity to ensure adequate funds are available for operational needs and investments. Monitor cash flow projections and develop strategies to optimize cash reserves.
• Coordinate with tax advisors to develop tax planning strategies and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. Prepare and file tax returns, including corporate income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax.
• Serve as a key point of contact for client engagements related to financial matters. Provide financial advice and support to clients, addressing their specific needs and concerns.
• Identify and assess financial risks facing the firm, including credit risk, market risk, and operational risk. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure financial stability.
• Manage a team of finance professionals, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the finance department.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business objectives and financial needs. Provide proactive financial advice and support to help clients achieve their goals.
• Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.

• Minimum Degree in Accountancy, partial/ professionally qualified in Accounting qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ICAEW) or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of working experience.
• To have strong theoretical and financial reporting standards.
• Experience in external audit would be an added advantage.
• Highly committed and able to work independently within tight datelines.
